    Zingiber collinsii is a broadleaf deciduous perennial bulb / corm / tuber with blue, green and variegated foliage. In summer orange and red flowers emerge. Attracts butterflies making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly shade and even moisture - regular water. Does well in rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something humidity tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.

    In my opinion this is the most beautiful ginger in cultivation. The foliage is spectacular with silver bands on the leaves and basal flowers in clusters of orange to red that look like brightly colored hot pokers. Even better its a hardy easy to grow ginger. They sell out quickly. Get one!
