Zingiber clarkii is a species from northern India that grows to about 5 feet. It is unique among Zingibers in that the 12" long inflorescence is produced from the terminal or end of the stems rather than from the base of the plant(basal). The flowers are a very pretty light yellow with maroon dotted lips. This is a very cold hardy dormant Ginger. These are seed grown seedlings.
