Fans of elegant silver-blue make this dwarf (to 2-3') SE native palm a real knock-out in container or garden; in colder areas, protect below 20F, if possible keep roots dry in winter (in a pot?). Sun/M-D

A cold hardy palm good to Zone 8. The saw palmetto is generally a clustering subterranean trunked palm native to southeastern U.S. At great age it does form trunks in habitate. This form has beautiful silver leaves and looks great as an understory or accent. To see a photo of a mature Serenoa repens (Silver) go to http://www.pacsoa.org.au/palms/Serenoa/repens.html
