Bring the distinctive island fragrance of plumeria to your garden. This new dwarf hybrid of Singapore Plumeria is a seedling mutation from Plumeria obtusa. If kept warm and in bright light, it will remain evergreen, keeping its leaves. Also, it will flower all year. The plant is a dwarf, well-branched small tree that grows well in containers. Leaves are long, leathery and glossy green. Bloom clusters appear at the terminal tips of branches. Each flower in the cluster measures about 2" and has a nice frangipani fragrance. Blooms are white with yellow eyes. Plumerias are the traditional flowers used in Hawaiian leis because of their delightful fragrance. Grow in full sun and fertilize spring through summer. You'll want to add this new dwarf Plumeria to your tropical plant collection!
Bright Pink fragrant blooms are borne in summer on this easily grown tropical tree. This dwarf branching plant with a palm-like look makes it a great addition around a pool. Easily grown in a patio pot, needs a fast draining soil. In colder climates, let it go dry in fall and store in a garage or other area where temperatures remain above freezing. Pull it out in the spring and start watering it and it will grow and bloom again.
