Exotic tropical plant that produces beautiful long lasting (3 mo) ornamental upright blooms that are orange and yellow. Foliage has bluish dark green color with maroon underside and midrib. It is really easy to care for - not fussy at all. Needs filtered light, plenty of water & fertilizer. Great for container / in door. It is a very fast grower.

This heliconia stays around 2-3 feet tall and has an upright inflorescence that is a beautiful medium red. If the flower wasn't enough reason to own one the foliage is maroon red underneath with a bright red midrib. It will grow in about 60-80% shade so also does well as a potted houseplant during the winter months. Blooms well in containers as small as 3 gallons. We have some 3 gallons in bud right now!
