Mathiasiae 'Pacal' is a beautiful Heliconia that grows from 4-6' with zingiberoid foliage (ginger like with opposing leaves on a central stem). The flower stem is a deep red as is the bract. The sepals are lemon yellow graduating to green at the tips. The overall look is simply wonderful. It will grow in partial shade to partial sun. It blooms year around and makes a great container specimen.
