Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This is a truly spectacular Heliconia that blooms in profusion, especially during the fall holidays, hence its name. The contrast between the stark white sepals and the brilliant red bracts make this a Christmas showstopper. A small 2-3' tall Heliconia, it's perfect for container culture. This makes it perfect for zones 8 and colder, just bring it inside before it freezes. Ours have endured 35 °F degrees outside without harm. They even adorned our Son's wedding this last December.
