An easily grown species which does well in part shade to filtered light. This ginger is hardy to zone 7a and possibly hardier if mulched or protected. Dancing lady is a dainty shade loving ginger with delicate pink flowers that hang in clusters, the yellow sepals resembling "dancing ladies". Planted in a good humus soil that is well drained and provided with moderate feedings winitii will bloom profusely from late spring to first frost. These plants go dormant in the winter but reemerge in the spring to begin their glorious display again.
