Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Thorn-less, fragrant, disease resistant, and shade tolerant, what more can you ask from a climbing rose? 2-1/2 to 3" strongly fragrant, deep pink cupped roses are borne in mass in spring, with some bloom in summer and fall once once established. Being thorn-less, this is an excellent rose to grow on an arbor, a trellis, or in an area where people will be passing near by.
Rosa 'Zephirine Drouhin' is known for its tolerance to shade and delightful scent. Pink blooms spring repeatedly from nearly thornless stems, offering an aroma of traditional rose and citrus.
Rose pink. Although the indivisual flowers are not particularly fine in themselves, they are produced in great quantities. They are very fragrant and of deep rose-pink. It is particularly happy on a north wall and may be grown as a shrub or for hedges. Very good repeating. Thornless. 12ft. (Bizot 1868). Thornless.
