Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Groundcover Rose. Dark red. The lineage continues, Thrive! A new vibrant red landscape shrub rose, is a strong and healthy descendant of The Knock Out Rose. Although it is hard to follow in the footsteps of Grandfather Knock Out, this variety holds its own with hard-to-miss, bright, fire engine red blooms that last all season. Despite being bred and initially grown in ideal conditions in the San Joaquin Valley of California, this new shrub rose "thrived" in our harsh Pennsylvania test field for two years with no sprays or irragation. This offspring is sure to thrive in all climates with its superior resistance to black spot, rust and mildew. A great red version of Iceberg for the West Coast. Cuplike, medium flowers. 7-8 petals on average. Dark green, very glossy foliage.
