Dark crimson. Patent No. 8813. Approx 125 petals. Repeat flowering. Flowers open, the deepest, richest crimson imaginable, but quickly turn to an equally rich royal purple. Very full petalled, cupped flowers with a beautiful rosette form. Better in warmer areas. There is a strong Old Rose fragance of the character associated with some of the darker Gallicas. 2.5 ft. x 2 ft. (David Austin 1990, Ausvelvet). Cup shape flowers. 125 petals.
