Nursery contributed plant descriptions

English Musk. Apricot. Approximately 100 petals. Repeat flowering. Our wish is that English Roses should be as variable as possible in more than just color; that each new variety should have its own unique character and beauty. 'Tea Clipper' is of similar rich apricot to 'Grace' although quite different in other ways. The flowers are of an informal rossette shape and nicely quartered, each with a button eye. It forms a large, bushy shrub which may well benefit from summer pruning in warmer areas. It has very few thorns and is particularly healthy. Usually the fragrance is a lovely mix of tea, myrrh and fruit, although sometimes it is almost pure citrus. Tea Clipper is named to mark the centenary of the death of the tea trader and collector Fredrick Horniman and commemorates the last and finest of the sailing ships. Height 4 ft. x 3 ft. (David Austin 2006, Ausrover). Rosette shape flowers. 100 petals.Hardly any thorns
