Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Old Rose Hybrid. Deep pink. Approximately 80 petals. Repeat flowering. This variety grows well throughout the U.S., looking beautiful in both warmer and cooler climates. It flowers very freely and, because it repeats so quickly, never grows too tall. The rosette shaped flowers are an attractive light red fading to deep pink in the sun and blending well with other colors. The effect is a little different from the other red roses, which tend to have a certain 'sameness' about them. Excellent for short bushy growth ideal for bedding and the front of borders. Extremely healthy. There is a light Tea fragrance. Sophy's Rose was named for the Dyslexia Assosiation. Height 3 ft. x 2.5 ft. (David Austin 1997, Auslot). Rosette shaped flowers. 80 petals.
