Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Alba Hybrid. Pure soft pink. Approximately 20 petals. Repeat flowering. A rose of the modest beauty and simple charm that will create a wonderful show in the border. It is healthy, tough and reliable and repeat flowers very well. The petals in the bud curl around to form a ball, which then open to a perfect little cupped flower displaying a bunch of golden stamens. The color pales from soft pink to blush pink, reminiscent of apple blossom. There is a light to medium, fresh, Old Rose fragrance, with hints of clove. An ideal choice for a position towards the front of the border. Named after the medieval English folk song, made popular by Simon and Garfunkel. 2.5 ft. x 2 ft. (David Austin 2004, Ausoran). Little, cupped flowers. 20 petals.
