Nursery contributed plant descriptions

English Musk. Soft pink. A rose of rather different character to most but nonetheless extremely pretty and very versastile. The flowers are delicately beautiful - about 3.5 inches across - and borne on almost thornles, slender, dark stems. They are shallowly cupped in shape, loosely double and of soft pink color, paling a little on the outer petals. As the flower opens, it gradually exposes its stamens, to add further to its beauty. The whole impression is one of delicacy and grace. Extremely healthy. There is and Old Rose scent with a delicious hint of fruit. The right to name this rose was auctioned on behalf of the National Trust (in the UK) to raise funds for their gardens. It was bought by Mrs. Sackler for her husband's birthday. Height 5 ft. x 3 ft. or 8 ft. as a climber. (David Austin 2002, Ausorts). Almost thornless, dark.
