Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Old Rose Hybrid. Soft pink paling to a pale pink. Approximately 110 petals. Repeat flowering. Many English Roses tend to grow significantly taller in the hotter summers of the U.S.A., but Miss Alice is very much the exception, staying short and compact. It is an excellent rose for bedding, for a position towards the front of a mixed border or as a short hedge. The flowers are some three and a half inches across and of a lovely soft pink at first; the outer petals turning to a pale pink, which gradually spreads over the whole flower as it ages. It has a lovely, rounded, Old Rose fragrance, with additional hints of Lily of the Valley. Named after Miss Alice de Rothschild who created a beautiful garden at Waddesndon Manor in Buckinghamshire, UK during Victorian times. Height 3 ft. x 2 ft. (David Austin 2000, Ausjake). 110 petals.
