Nursery contributed plant descriptions

English Musk. Soft apricot that are sometimes tinged with soft pink. Approximatley 100 petals. Repeat flowering. Evelyn is ideally suited to the warmer climates of the U.S. where t is vigorous and tough. The blooms are absolutely magnificent. They are particularly large, with beautfully arranged petals, and rather surprisingly considering their size, they are produced in great abundance. The color is a beautiful soft apricot that is sometimes tinged with soft pink. It has few thorns. The other great glory is its wonderful fragrance, which is similar in style to an Old Rose, but with a sumptuous fruity note reminiscent of fresh peaches and apricot. Named on behalf of Crabtree & Evelyn, who used it in their range of perfumes. Height 4 ft. x 3 ft. or 6 ft. as a climber. (David Austin 1991, Aussaucer). Large flowers. 100 petals. Few thorns.
