Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Old Rose Hybrid. Soft pink. Approximately 140 petals. Repeat flowering. We regard this as one of the most beauiful of the English Roses. The flowers are a delicate soft pink, quite large and of exquisite formation - the petals, at first, turning up at the edges to form a shallow saucer filled with small petals later reflexing back to produce a lightly domed flower. The growth is ideal, being of medium height and bushy, making it an excellent garden plant for the border or for bedding. It may benefit from summer pruning in warmer areas. It is particularly hardy. Sweetly fragrant, with a charming and delicate Old Rose scent. Named after Eglantyne Jebb, a charitable lady who founded the 'Save the Children Fund'. Height 4.5 ft. x 3 ft. or 6 ft. as a climber. (David Austin 1994, Ausmak). Shallow saucer than reflexing flowers. 140 petals.
