Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Leander Group. Apricot-orange paling to a soft yellow. Approximately 120 petals. Repeat flowering. The flowers are quite large, neatly formed rosettes of a lovely apricot-orange paling to soft yellow. It will thrive even under tough conditions and is particularly hardy. It has a strong fragrance, of the Teas Rose type. It is likely to be vigorious in warmer areas and so would benefit from some summer pruning to maintain its shape and encourage quicker repeat flowering. A tall, slightly arching shrub, ideal for the back of the border, or may be grown as an excellent short climber. Crown Princess Margarita of Sweden was the granddaughter of Queen Victoria and was an accomplished landscape gardener. 5 ft. x 4.5 ft. or 10 ft. as a climber (David Austin 1999, Auswinter). Large rosettes flowers. 120 petals.
