Rosa Brother Cadfael PP8681

Old Rose Hybrid. Medium pink. Approximately 50 petals. Repeat flowering. Brother Cadfael has some of the largest and most sumptuous blooms of all the English Roses. The flowers are deeply cupped, with incurving petals giving a slightly enclosed effect. Their color is a good medium pink. They are large and perfectly in proportion to the growth and foliage. In warmer areas the growth can be a little exuberant and so would benefit from summer pruning. There is a particularly strong Old Rose fragrance, similar to that of the old Bourbon Roses. Named after the hero Ellis Peters’ detective stories, which are set in the same area as our nursery. Height 5 ft. x 4 ft. or 8 ft. as a climber. (David Austin 1990, Ausglobe).
