Passiflora lutea is a broadleaf deciduous or semi-evergreen vine with green foliage. In fall, spring and summer green and yellow flowers emerge followed by black and purple fruit. Attracts butterflies making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - shade and even moisture - regular water. Does well in rich and well-drained soil.

From a plant in Guildford, NC. but found all along the Eastern US. The most cold hardy Passion Flower. Unusual 1" yellow flower has a cross-shaped pistil and palmate, 3-lobed leaves. One of the three Passion Vines that are native to the U.S. Purple/black berries in Fall. To encourage bushiness, pinch the plants back during their first growing season.
