Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Clusters of deep orange 2" tubular flowers with yellow throats are held above the rich blue-green foliage of this selection of the tame native Coral Honeysuckle. This easily grown evergreen vine is an excellent choice for hummingbirds and butterflies that may produce flowers basically year round with peak flowering in early to mid spring as the Humminbirds arrive. Coral Honeysuckle or Trumpet Honeysuckle is a native, often evergreen vine that is vigorous and easy to grow as well as easy to control, unlike its white and yellow Japanese cousin. We often see a few flowers on our vines in the garden in winter but the main show is in spring with flowers continuing on and off often until fall. Few other woody vines can provide the long flowering show that this wonderful native can provide as well as attracting loads of Hummingbirds.
Very showy 2" trumpets of orange with a yellow throat make this vigorous vine (to 20') shine in mid-summer. Sun/Med
Native to the eastern and southern US, Lonicera sempervirens is a practical, beautiful and versatile vine for the novice and experienced gardener alike. It is very easy to grow, prune and train with very few, if any, insect or disease concerns. Magnifica is a delightful selection with clean glossy blue-green foliage and clear orange flowers with yellow throats that will attract hummingbirds to your garden! Many thanks to Charles Cresson for sharing this beauty with us! Blooms throughout summer. Twining Type. USA Native.
The sweetly scented tubular red orange flowers of this Native honeysuckle often attract hummingbirds. Blooms are followed by bright red fruit, attractive to birds. Unlike its Japanese cousin, it is a well-behaved member of the border. A twining vine, it needs a trellis or fence for support. Takes part shade but more sun gives you more blooms. Blooms on last year's growth. FRAGRANT
