The stems of this species are dark with an almost purple hue with a clear blue star-shaped bloom with a dark blue/purple inner ring. Blue green leaves. Blooms July-September. The native of Nepal gracefully climbs here and there including through shrubs and is a good companion to all and a delightful addition to the partly shady garden.
