Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Clematis Bill MacKenzie has large, 2" bright yellow flowers in profusion from early to late summer followed by beautiful silky seedheads in autumn.
An exuberant deciduous vine with a long succession of mustard yellow gold, lantern shaped blooms on long stalks from mid-summer until well into Fall. The blooms have contrasting maroon anthers. Deeply cut, fresh green leaves which set a beautiful back drop for the blooms or the lovely silken seed heads. One of the best of the Oriental types. Cut back stems to a pair of strong buds (about 6-8" above ground level) before growth starts in spring.
