Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Arching sprays of deep salmon-red flowers during late summer and dark-green compound foliage make this hardy vine a beautiful sight for human or hummingbird eyes. S/M
It is a showy Trumpet vine with salmon red flowers. Madame Galen is a beautiful cross between our native radicans and grandiflora with the vigor and some of the hardiness of the native and the large flowers of its other parent. She will put on a steady show of blooms all summer!
Trumpet-shaped, orange to salmon-red flowers (to 3" long), blooms throughout the summer. It is a woody, clinging vine which attaches itself to structures and climbs by aerial rootlets. Rapid grower. Growth Rate fast
This vigorous vine (Trumpet Creeper) produced showy trumpet flowers from the middle of summer til the end of fall. A perfect cover for poles or fences. zone 5
Cross of C. grandiflora and C. radicans, very popular in the US. It has the best features of both parents and is very cold tolerant. Flowers well with deep red/orange apricot blooms, larger than C. radicans. A weaker climber than C. radicans which is actually one of it's selling points -- in this case -- weaker is better -- it doesn't take over your house! The flowers are nearly the same color, so you can't tell them apart by that. It's in the more restrained growth habit that give Madame Galan her league of fans. Also, she will take more shade and still perform better than the species. Introduced in 1889.
