Campsis grandiflora 'Morning Calm' is a broadleaf deciduous perennial vine with green foliage. In fall and summer apricot flowers emerge. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun and even moisture water. Prefers to be dry in summer. Does well in average and well-drained soil.

This fine vine is not to be mistaken for the native Campsis. Not only is it much more restrained in its growth, it has gorgeous flowers with much larger and more colorful corollas. Hummingbirds love it!

Best flowers in sun. Not as aggressive as our native, C. radicans because it does not develop the abundant & prominent root-like 'holdfasts' that our native does. A fast-growing vine with age but not nearly as vigorous as our Trumpet Creeper. 'Morning Calm' was introduced by the J.C. Raulston Arboretum which is an ultimate horticultural stamp of approval. This was, hands down, our biggest selling plant in 2003. An exceptionally large bloom.
