This compact, low spreading dwarf ground cover is a great plant to have. It helps with erosion control and is resistant to deer.
A deciduous to semi-evergreen, dense, mounding, low shrub with very small, shiny dark green leaves. Tiny pink flowers turn into small red fruits. Fall color is deep red.
This low, compact, deciduous or semi-evergreen shrub functions well as a dense ground cover, shading out weeds. Summer red-orange berries presage brilliant red shiny foliage in fall! Not a fast grower, easy to control, and doesn't require pruning unless you'd really like to get inventive! The leaves are little mouse ears, lining the geometric herringbone arrangement of branches. It is not plagued with problems of any kind including clay and/or drought. 6-12" tall and up to 6' wide. Minimum temperature: -40 °F
A Lilliputian version of the species, forming a small, dainty mound of bright green leaves; red fall color and berries. Sun/Med-Dry
Wide spreading, semi-deciduous shrub with tiny pink flowers in spring followed by dark red 1/4" fruit in early fall. A dense, creeping plant forming a low mound to 18-24" with bright, dark green foliage. A beautiful ground cover, spreading 4-6 feet. Tough and dependable but doesn't like it in the deep South.
