Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Truly a dwarf form, this variety forms a neat, dense, low mound?to 18" of bright-green foliage and red twigs in winter, like the species. S/M-W
A dwarf, broad-rounded shrub with dull, deep red older stems and brighter red younger stems. White flower clusters are accompanied by green foliage that turns reddish-purple in the fall. Growth Rate medium to fast
Interesting dark red stem color makes it suitable for shrub border. Great for holding banks. Beautiful in the snow. Best in moist or well-watered soil. Low-growing, neat, compact form looks good in front of leggy shrubs. The red stems aren't quite as showy as the species BUT the plant is much more well-behaved and compact -- better if you have a smaller area to work with.
