    A slow growing shrubby variety in a conical form with thread-like foliage that hangs down. It is quite an attractive ornamental plant.

    The name perfectly describes the foliage of this new cultivar, which originated as a sport of Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Squarrosa Lutea'. The rich, lemony-yellow hue requires full sun to acquire its full potential, and fortunately, when established, resists burning in 100 degree F+ heat. 'Lemon Thread' has a hearty, upright habit, more so than most varieties, while all the fine branchlets bow gracefully downward. Growth Rate slow, 3-6" annually

    Similar in appearance to Golden Mops, with threadlike foliage, probably more gold, with a more upright nature and faster growing. Moderate growth results in being about 5 feet at 10 years but it will continue to grow. (The Industry always lists the height of shrubs at 8-10 years for some odd reason.) May burn in full sun in warm areas. Really lovely -- foliage looks like it's dripping off the tree.
