Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The 1" lightly fragrant, Sputnik-looking, ball-like flowers of the Chinese Buttonbush are born throughout summer and into fall. Beautiful glossy dark green, fine textured foliage makes this tardily deciduous shrub attractive even before it begins to flower and adds a wonderful backdrop for the interesting flowers. Fairly adaptable to soil types and durable once well-established.The Chinese Buttonbush is tolerant of moist to wet soils as well as light shade and partial shade but will also do quite well in full sun in average soils. Easy to grow with few if any pests or diseases.
An upright, spreading loose shrub with arching branches and fragrant white Buttonbush-like flowers on rounded heads from summer to fall. One of it's best claims to fame is that it's one of the few shrubs that will tolerate DRY SHADE and be attractive doing it. Extremely attractive shiny bronzy green leaves appear late (so don't think it's dead) but doesn't drop its leaves until December. A wonderful new shrub to the trade.
