Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A selection of this gorgeous plant with vibrant golden leaves. Still carrying the pendant clusters of burgundy enclosed white flowers. Sun to part sun...3-5' herbaceous shrub. Zone 6
A newly introduced English cultivar, 'Golden Lanterns' has the same tantalizing attributes as the species but with an illuminated twist. Dark burgundy bracts and berries become intriguing counterpoints to amber-tinted new growth and the lambent yellow-green foliage that promises to brighten your daytime, or even moonlight garden stroll. Zone 6/7. (S-0609)
A backdrop of yellow-green leaves makes the pendulous 4"clusters of purple-red bract-enclosed white flowers of this easy-going 3-5' shrub glow!; they're followed by purple berries in fall. S-PSh/M/mulch colder areas PPAF
This shrub has brilliant yellow foliage with purple highlights on the new growth. The flowers are 4 inch drooping clusters in late summer. In cold climates it will be more like a perennial.
The gold form of an extremely rare shrub from China. With white blooms with 4" long beet-red bracts that are the real eye-catcher, it blooms from June thru September. The clear yellow-green foliage has amber-red tinted new growth. The black purple berries arrive and take the bracts to an even more dramatic look. Dies back to the ground, like a Perennial, but no worries, it will be back, big and bold in the spring.
