Nursery contributed plant descriptions

White Lined with Red. There were several "Picotee" clones developed by Ludwig in the 50's and 60's. Red Lining was one of these. There are several varieties sold as plain old picotee, sometimes Picotee "Red Lining" is probably sold as plain picotee. Red Lining may have a little more red than your standard Picotee, but again, since so many clones are marketed as Picotee, it is hard to say. In general Picotee clones are a not as vigorous as other old varieties and therefore slightly more expensive than Red Lion, Apple Blossom, etc. Bulbs are 22-24 cm. This size generally produces 1-2 blooming stems.
