Zephyranthes robusta is a broadleaf deciduous bulb / corm / tuber with green foliage. In summer pink flowers emerge. Features grassy texture. Attracts bees and hummingbirds making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and regular water. Drought tolerant once established. Habranthus (syn. Cooperanthus) robustus or pink rain lily grows from a large bulb with narrow, bluish foliage that gives rise to showy light pink to lavender-pink flowers in summer and fall. In their natural habitats rain lilies are famous for blooming after heavy rains. Similar to the related Zephyranthes but with larger bulbs and flowers. Native to Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay. Despite its tropical range, this species is proving hardy in zone 8 with protection. Also easy to grow in containers. In colder regions bring pots into a frost-free area and allow to go dormant until spring.

These are similar to Zephyranthes, but the flowers face to the side and are very large. It is hard to find true Habranthus for sale. These are native to south America. Great outdoors in the south, excellent for indoor pots and plants. Tollerates any soil type. EASY to grow. Blooms several times each summer, after heavy rains (hence their common name " Rain Lily "). Hardy in zones 8-11, elsewhere dig and store for the winter. Bulb size will vary somewhat depending on what we dig up. We will not send tiny bulbs so you can expect mostly medium size. These multiply and set viable seeds. Bulbs can get HUGE.
