Anemone coronaria 'The Bride' has large, ivory white flowers up to four inches across flushed with green and centred with green and yellow stamens in mid to late spring. Stems can reach 16 inches tall. Poppy anemones are native to coastal regions of the Mediterranean Basin coming into growth in winter or early spring with dissected, ferny foliage and blooming in mid spring. Where hardy, they can be planted in the ground in fall. Where not hardy, they are easy to grow in pots kept in a cool, frost-free location over the winter.
