It really is tragic that these are not more common. They are better early flowers than crocus, in my opinion. Maybe one reason they remain scarce is that people simply don't believe the description! Just think, a perfect, beautiful, early-blooming iris in miniature! I have seen them bloom through the snow. They can be easily forced for winter blooms. Zones 4-10.
