Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Sunfield is a popular variety in the UK, but is new to the USA. It grows 3-4 ft tall and has flowerheads nearly 10 inches across. Since it loses its leaves for the winter, it is more cold hardy than the evergreen types. It may be able to survive down to zone 5 or 6 with protection, but we can't guarantee anything below zone 7. The key is to keep the soil around the roots dry and unfrozen during winter. These also make good potted subjects. Agapanthus produce flowers prolifically through the spring and summer. The foliage and blooming habits superficially resembles that of a Daylily. They like more sun in cool climates, and more shade in hot areas. The tall, long lasting umbels produce dozens, even hundreds of small flowers for a striking display. The divisions for sale are newly imported from the Netherlands.. They grow quickly, but do not always bloom the first year. WE CAN NOT SHIP LIVE PLANTS INTERNATIONALLY!
