Nursery contributed plant descriptions

From the Cocktails Series by Brent Horvath comes 'Alabama Slammer', a geum with brash and boisterous appeal. Burgundy purple calyxes (sepals) open to reveal ruffled, gold flowers with blazing red-orange markings and backs. The semi-double and single flowers measure one inch wide. The plants are compact with slightly glossy, lighter green foliage. Exhibits hybrid vigour and longer life than other cultivars. Easy and carefree. Deer resistant.
An Intrinsic Introduction! Hairy mounds of foliage grow 8-10" tall and over 1' wide. In May, burgundy stems to 18"+ bloom with multi colored deep orange flowers edged and highlighted with red. Mostly semi-double 1 1/2" flowers. Full sun, moist, drained soil. PPAF
Bred by Brent Horvath of Intrinsic Perennials. Color for late spring and early summer. From wine colored buds emerge sweet yet vibrant multi tone orange/red/gold roses on 12" burgundy tinted stems. Grow Geum in full sun in a well drained soil. They are attractive to butterflies and unattractive to deer.
