'Astra Double Blue' has interesting balloon-like buds that burst open into fully double, bell-shaped flowers of periwinkle blue. Exceptional branching and thick flower petals make this a useful accent for perennial borders or as an accent plant. It is quite a bit shorter than the species, at 8-10 inches in height.
