Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Large feathery bronze-tinted foliage in spring, large white flower plumes mid-summer, red fall color, AND a new compact (to only 3'!) size make this a wonderful addition for the partly-shady border. PSh/M
Sorbaria sorbifolia 'Sem' is a fantastic, super hardy shrub with beautiful young foliage tinged with pink, orange and gold which gradually changes to green when mature. The densely packed leaves are pinnate giving a lacey, ferny effect. White flower plumes are produced in midsummer. An extremely hardy, medium sized, shrub for most soils. Grows well in sun or light shade. Suckers to make colonies.
This False Spirea in the spring has orange, red, and yellow new growth changing to a pale green in the summer. White flowers during the summer
First, we fell in love with the foliage. The new foliar growth is a delicious shade of caramel pink, gradually becoming lime green as the summer progresses. As the July heat intensifies, 4-6” panicles of white pearl buds burst into creamy Astilbe like plumes. ‘Sem’ is a compact growing False Spirea, growing only to 48”, unlike the species which can reach 8’. Sem will give you moderate height without obscuring your view. Yes, this selection will also sucker and form a thicket...but that is why you should use this shrub as a low hedge, or for filling a space that you don’t want to fuss over. Large 1 gallon plants for spring shipping.
