Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Upright with an arching habit, heat tolerant 'Firecracker' has grey-green and cream variegated leaves that are flushed pink with pink undersides. In summer and autumn, it bears clusters of long, slender, coral-colored flowers. Coleus make excellent companions in containers. Best in moist well-drained soil and afternoon shade.
We grew this Fuchsia a number of years ago, and after reacquiring it last year, decided it was time to offer 'Firecracker' again. The variegated foliage has a wine-pink blush, which tints the veins as well as the newest growth. Narrow tubular coral pink flowers adorn the upright 20-24" plants, attracting hummingbirds and butterflies. Last year we combined it with our Kip's Trailing Begonia and Tahitian Bridal Veil in a Campo d'Fiori Urn, and had numerous requests to duplicate the combination for our retail customers.
