Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Perhaps the darkest purple foliage we've seen of all the hardy sedum, with glossy deep burgundy succulent leaves growing 1-2 ft tall and wide. Late summer brings deep purple flower buds that open to pink tinged purple flowers that are attractive to bees and butterflies. The showy flower heads continue to please as they age and darken and hold well into winter. Also, the leaner and more well drained the soil, the better.
