Geranium x monacense 'Muldoon' is a broadleaf deciduous perennial with green foliage. In spring and summer purple flowers emerge. Attracts butterflies making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly shade and even moisture water. Does well in rich and well-drained soil.

Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Grown for its attractive dark splotched foliage and curious dark purple blossoms. Geranium x monacense is a hybrid cross between G. phaeum and G. reflexum, and according to Digging Dog Nursery from whom we purchased this plant years ago, it was named after Spotty Muldoon, a British radio show character played by the late Peter Sellers. It grows in a spreading mound to 18" tall and 24" wide.
