Sedum 'Xenox' PP16888 is a broadleaf deciduous perennial cactus / succulent with burgundy and green foliage. In summer pink flowers emerge. Features glaucous texture. Does well in acidic, alkaline, gritty and well-drained soil.

‘Xenox’ has green foliage covered in a blue waxy glaze which gives this cultivar a dark brooding (and bold) look which is brightened by its pink flowers in late summer. Upright stonecrops are useful nearly year round: mounds of succulent new growth in early spring, structural upright clumps through summer, heads of showy flower heads in late summer and fall, and dried flower stems in winter.Photo courtesy of Walters Gardens.

Our choice for the best dark leaved cultivar. Medium sized leaves have scalloped edges and appear in shades of green and mauve in spring, later darkening to deep burgundy as the season progresses. In late summer, 2-3 inch wide clusters of red velvet buds open to rose colored flowers.
