Phormium have cornered the market on structure and drama which is likely why they’re so popular. 'Evening Glow' is a dramatic cultivar with some of the brightest glowing reddish pink leaves edged in burgundy purple. New Zealand Flax usually sail through our coastal BC winters but benefit from a mulch of leaves at their base and having their foliage tied up to help it resist heavy snowfalls. In colder climates, grow in pots and bring indoors to a frost-free environment.

'Evening Glow' has dramatic foliage, a glowing dark pink-red (an unusual color to describe) edged in bronze the arching strap-ike foliage will get about 2 1/2' in containers but will get a bit larger if planted in open ground where it is hardy.
