Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A fast growing tender perennial twining vine producing unusual 2" flowers of vivid cobalt blue with white and gold throats. Flowers during summer and year round in the deep south. Hardy zone 10-11. Likes sun and attracts butterflies.
One of the most amazingly blue colored flowers in the plant world! This small growing but vigorous annual or tender perennial vine produces loads of brilliant deep blue flowers with recurving and overlapping petals with a white to creamy yellow throat. It can be successfully overwintered but it's easier just to save a few seeds to plant in spring. The young tender fruit are edible but are considered unpalatable by some. Provide with midday and or afternoon shade for the best foliage color, but keep in mind that too much shade may reduce flowering. The Blue Pea Vine or Clitoria prefers a rich moist soil.
A tender vine to 6', adorned with exquisite dark blue pea-like flowers with a remarkable shape, hence the Latin name.
