Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Our friend Audrey says: Everyone needs a good campanula! We agree. And ‘La Belle’ looks like it might do the trick. The flowers are double with rounded, ruffled petals in a gorgeous rich blue. The shape of the flowers resembles a Lisianthus -- those dark purple or white flowers often at florist shops. The species persicifolia, the peachleaf bellflower, offers basal foliage of long, leathery evergreen leaves and thin stems to two feet. Great for growing through other plants in the cottage garden and in patio containers. Attracts hummingbirds and bees. Deer and rabbit resistant.
Imagine loose racemes of sky blue old fashioned 1" rosebuds on 2' stems. Need I say more? Blooms in June and July and makes an exquisite bouquet.
