A splash of gold in the middle of the bold tropical-looking leaves of this unusual hybrid gives them a shade-brightening, eye-catching look. S-Sh/M
Bizarre cross between Fatsia and Hedera – this shade loving, evergreen is perfect for adding some clout to tough areas in the garden! It needs only a little support for it's scandent stems to create a large leafed upright statement that will clothe a pole, wall or a tree trunk. Looks good all year! 6-8' tall with support. Sprawls on it's own. None of hedera's bad habits! Underused plant of great value!! Bright yellow splotched dress up the wavy edged leaves.
Fatshedera is an intergeneric cross between Japanese aralia (Fatsia japonica) and Irish ivy (Hedera hibernica). Not only is this ?intercontinental" hybrid unsure of its nationality, it occupies a space between perennial, shrub and vine being semi-upright and semi-woody. The large dark green maple-like leaves have bold, variable, yellow markings. Its tolerance of low light makes it an excellent deep shade accent. Severe cold snaps can damage the tips but the plant will quickly recover.
Deep yellow is widely splashed across and along the edges of the rich green tropical foliage of this upright to semi-vine like evergreen shrub. Excellent for the shade garden or indoors. Train it to a support or let the trailing stems create a groundcover.
This variety has yellow variegated dk green palmate like leaves, growing upright or tree like. Likes bright indirect light. Heads of greenish white flower heads in fall. Beautiful foliage. Makes a terrific houseplant
Vine-like shrub with glossy leaves, evergreen, prune to shape or stake for height, good in containers. Zones 7-9
We have a limited number of this very attractive cross between Hedera and Fatsia, with golden green variegated Fatsia foliage, and the flowers and somewhat upright viny habit of Hedera. Great foliage specimen. AKA 'Anna Mikkels' and 'Lemon Lime'.
