Nursery contributed plant descriptions

HABEK MINT - BUDDLEA MINT - BROOK MINT - BIBLE MINT - A middle east mint used for authentic "Tabbouli" of bulgar, lemon juice, salt, pepper, parsley, mint, cool vegetables. Hardy zone 4-9. Unusual long narrow leaves, hairy and rough, bluish green. Purple flowers.
An obscure but highly ornamental member of the mint family, we purchased this as M. buddleiafolia, which appears to be an invalid name. It has handsome wooly grey foliage and spikes of lavender blue flowers in midsummer. Prefers poor sandy soil.
