Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This blue, snapdragon-like, July-August bloom creates its own heady, scented atmosphere. Coming from meadows, moors and rocky outcrops of the Nordic countries, its tough and very easy to grow. Low and mounding, 10" tall x 20" wide, it's a suitable rock garden plant that doesn't especially care if the soil is acid or alkaline as long as it drains well. Minimum temperature: -30?F
Nordic Dragonhead (sounds kinky) to 16"-24", and forming neat bushlets of attractive foliage. Lovely blue flowers but a little to large for even the biggest rock garden but tidy plants. ZONE 5
This perennial dragonshead has really blue flowers in early summer above spreading plants with fine textured needl like foliage. Grows to 12" tall and and forms a nice mat in a sunny well-drained area.
