Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Beautiful blue-tinged-pink stars provide a sum-into-fall show for man and insect...though far from home this 2-3' twiner is a butterfly flower relative and every insect seems to know it!...TOO bad it?s not hardier. PSh/M-Damp
Fragrant, sky-blue, star-shaped flowers bloom from early summer to fall and are followed by 4" long seed pods. This twining tropical is often grown as an annual in the summer garden for its 'true blue" flowers. The soft, velvety gray-green foliage is covered with fine hairs. Sometimes called Blue Flowered Milkweed, Blue Tweedia is a host for Monarch butterfly caterpillars so it's an ideal plant to create a natural butterfly habitat in your garden.
Unusual turquoise-powder blue flowers are loved by all although it is a color I find best used by itself. The softly pubescent grey leaves work nicely with the flower color. Pinch back to promote bushy-ness since it has a rambling attitude.
